This program has been brought about after a the Princes Trust initially launched a study which resulted in the findings that 1 in 3 young people do not believe in themselves.
This fantastic Confidence campaign has been launched by the Princes Trust and L’oreal who have employed 15 inspirational ambassadors, who include two inspiring members who have also overcome these debilitating blockages in confidence- Louisa Johnson, former X Factor winner and Marcus Butler, YouTube vlogger. Also, including A list stars, such as Deme Helen Mirren, Katie Piper and Cheryl Cole who quoted:
Young people are currently facing more and more problems with self-confidence and we have to address these issues as a real priority. My hope is that this partnership will help young people feel accepted and valued for who they are and make sure that they get the support they need to make the most out of life”
This three year project is aimed at helping to raise the confidence of 10,000 young people across the UK struggling with self-doubt.
There has been staggering reports that there are over 90,000 children and young adolescents are facing anxiety every day in the UK alone. With Anxiety being the leading illness throughout the Western world, particularly in children.
Some children are naturally more prone to worrying and have a greater difficulty in the challenges they face every day and the changes that occur with 'growing up'.
Could this Youth project ‘Confidence’ be the start of changing these rising statistics and enable our young children to reach out and not suffer alone?
